Timo Smit
Timo Smit is a Senior Researcher in the SIPRI Peace Operations and Conflict Management Programme. His research focuses on developments and trends in multilateral peace operations, women’s representation in peace operations, civilian crisis management, and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) of the European Union (EU). He also maintains SIPRIs Multilateral Peace Operations Database.
Prior to joining SIPRI, he was a research assistant at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Parliamentary Assembly and a junior analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies.
