SIPRI and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) are pleased to host the 26th Annual International Conference on Economics and Security (ICES2023). The conference will take place on 28–30 June in Stockholm.

SIPRI actively engaged in and contributed with two breakout sessions at the first summit on Responsible AI in the Military Domain, REAIM 2023. The summit was held on 15–16 February in The Hague.
SIPRI at the 2023 Munich Security Conference
SIPRI had an active presence and co-hosted several events during the 2023 Munich Security Conference, 17–19 February. Topics for discussion included the food–climate–security nexus, how the war in Ukraine could fuel global instability and the European Union civilian crisis management.
SIPRI and SCEEUS host event on security governance after Russia’s war against Ukraine
On 22 February, SIPRI and Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) hosted the roundtable ‘Security Governance after Russia’s War against Ukraine’. The discussion centered on different scenarios for Ukraine and necessary measures for its future security as part of Europe and the West.
