SIPRI and SCEEUS host event on security governance after Russia’s war against Ukraine

On 22 February, SIPRI and Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) hosted the roundtable ‘Security Governance after Russia’s War against Ukraine’. The discussion centered on different scenarios for Ukraine and necessary measures for its future security as part of Europe and the West. The event was held at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI).

Welcome remarks were provided by Fredrik Löjdquist, Director of SCEEUS, and Joakim Vaverka, Deputy Director of SIPRI. Opening remarks were provided by Iuliia Osmolovska, Head of the GLOBSEC Kyiv Office, and Frank Ledwidge, GLOBSEC Associate on military strategy, followed by a moderated discussion chaired by Dr Ian Anthony, Director of SIPRI’s European Security Programme.

The roundtable was held under Chatham House Rule.
