SIPRI is pleased to announce the launch of a new film to showcase the annual Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development.

Click here to watch the film on SIPRI's YouTube channel.

Entitled ‘The Stockholm Forum: A platform to shape global peace progress’, the film incorporates input from a variety of participants, emphasising the innovative approach of the Forum as a dialogue-driven, interdisciplinary exchange among global thought leaders from more than 60 countries. This is carried out through discussion-led roundtable sessions which involve active participation from stakeholders at all levels – from civil-society to ministerial and through to global institutional – and are developed in collaboration with partner organisations.

The film uses footage from this year’s Forum (3–4 May, 2017) to show why the event – which was in its fourth annual addition in 2017 – has become a major meeting point to share, discuss, and problem-solve issues in peace and development. View recordings of the plenary sessions, photos and more on the 2017 Stockholm Forum webpage here.
