Lovisa Claesson

Lovisa Claesson is an intern in the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme. In addition to maintaining SIPRI’s arms transfers database, she supports the Programme’s research on the European Peace Facility and the EU’s evolving role as a global security actor. Previously, Lovisa worked as a research assistant in the Digital Policy Division at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung in Berlin, where she researched Germany’s and the EU’s approaches to digital sovereignty. She holds a background in European Studies from Maastricht University, where she focused on EU institutions, the Common Foreign and Security Policy, and the European (Eastern) Neighbourhood Policy. She is currently pursuing an MA in International Security at the Hertie School in Berlin.
