Alan Zebek was an intern with the European Security Programme at SIPRI. He is a PhD Candidate in Global Governance and Human Security Program at University of Massachusetts Boston. Currently, he works on the role of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in global energy governance. His prior research focus was on the emergence of newly independent former Soviet republics as important non-OPEC energy exporters in the context of geopolitics of oil and gas. Previously, Alan worked on nationalism and East European irredentism.
