Wilma Sjöberg is an intern in the SIPRI Weapons of Mass Destruction Programme. She supports the team with their research, currently focusing on space security and nuclear weapons. Additionally, she helps with internal coordination and planning.

Wilma recently completed her bachelor’s degree in Peace and Development Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden, where she developed a strong academic foundation in international security, international politics, the causes of armed conflict, and conflict resolution. Her previous experience includes volunteering with UN Women Sweden’s local organization in Uppsala, where she supported initiatives related to gender equality and women’s rights, as well as internal coordination. In addition, she has worked as an editor for a student paper focusing on peace and development.
