The independent resource on global security
Karolina Eklöw joined SIPRI in 2018 after working at the Mission of Sweden to the UN in New York. Her research built on the efforts to establish an institutional framework for addressing climate risks within the UN and EU. She published reports on multilateral policy and the evidence base for climate-related risks, and was invited to present her findings at the UN Security Council in 2020. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the Project Coordinator for SIPRI’s flagship initiative Environment of Peace, facilitating the work of the research team as well as the international Expert Panel.
