Johanna Trittenbach

Johanna Trittenbach is an intern in the SIPRI Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme, conducting research in the field of export control, focusing on internal compliance programmes (ICP) and intangible technology transfers (ITT), and she is mapping cooperation and assistance activities relevant to the implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) in sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining SIPRI, Johanna completed her Bachelor’s thesis examining EU arms embargoes and non-compliance therewith. She was an intern at the Department of Disarmament at the German Federal Foreign Office and worked for a research project at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, analysing the development of defense-industrial policies of various states.
