Dr Andrea Edoardo Varisco is the Director of the SIPRI Arms Transfers Programme. He has worked as Head of Analytics for Conflict Armament Research and had field research experiences in conflict-affected countries in the Middle East, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has authored and co-authored analytical reports on arms control and weapons and ammunition management for European, African, and Asian National Governments, Armed and Police Forces.
