The SIPRI Top 100 Arms-producing and Military Services Companies, 2013

The SIPRI Arms Industry Database was created in 1989. It contains financial and employment data on arms producing companies worldwide. Since 1990, SIPRI has published data on the arms sales and employment of the 100 largest of these arms-producing companies (the SIPRI Top 100) in the SIPRI Yearbook.

This Fact Sheet lists the SIPRI Top 100 arms-producing and military services companies for 2013 and describes the trends in international arms sales that are revealed by the new data.

 

Trends in International Arms Transfers, 2013

The SIPRI Arms Transfers Database now contains information on all international transfers of major conventional weapons from 1950 to the end of 2013. It is the only publicly available resource providing consistent data on international arms transfers for this length of time. This Fact Sheet describes the trends in international arms transfers that are revealed by the new data. It lists the main suppliers and recipients for the period 200913 and describes the changes in regional trends.
