Valery Guevara Rodriguez is a Communications intern at SIPRI, supporting the team’s work on outreach and dissemination with a focus on media. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Security at the Paris School of International Affairs, Sciences Po Paris, concentrating on Global Risks and Environment and Sustainability. Before starting her master’s programme, Guevara Rodriguez did an internship at the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (OPANAL), where she conducted research in the field of global nuclear security; she also supported official meetings and helped with the logistics and organization of the 10th Summer School on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament for diplomats. Moreover, she has worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Sciences and Humanities (CEIICH) at UNAM in Mexico City.
