Blaze Horn

Blaze Horn was an Events Assistant for the 2022 Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development.

Prior to joining SIPRI as an Events Assistant, Blaze supported SIPRI’s Environment of Peace 2022 initiative as a Research Assistant. Her academic background comprises both the natural and social sciences and includes an Undergraduate Degree in Geology, from Cardiff University, an MSc in International Development Studies, from the University of Amsterdam, an MBA with a focus on Green Energy and Sustainable Businesses from Bologna Business School, an MSc in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, and Water Resources, from Stockholm University, and she is currently working towards an MSc in Food Science and Innovation, with Manchester Metropolitan University.

During her studies, Blaze interned with UNIDO, based in Vienna, Austria, and the Global Water Partnership, based in Stockholm, Sweden. She also worked with Stockholm University as a Research Assistant. Blaze has also both led and supported research projects in Sudan, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea, and has a range of professional experience from both the public and private sectors.
