Workshop in Islamabad, Pakistan
SIPRI researchers Richard Ghiasy and Jiayi Zhou co-hosted the third of a series of five workshops for the Silk Road Economic Belt—Seeking Common Security Interests between the EU and China project.
This workshop, held in Islamabad, Pakistan, was the third in a series of five and covered the South Asia region. Participants discussed how the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) interacts with security dynamics in Pakistan, and with those of the region.
The workshop was supported by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
