    Mathieu Duchâtel gave a presentation on the security role of the European Union (EU) in North East Asia at the Korea–EU Cooperation for Peace and Regional Development in Northeast Asia conference, organized by the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies/ Hyundai Research Institute EU Centre.

    Neil Melvin presented at the conference 'Frozen Conflicts in the Former Soviet Union: Political Implications and Perspectives for Resolution' at the Institute of Democratic Politics (IDP) based in Vilnius, Lithuania. His presentation, entitled 'European Security, Russia and the Russian Minorities,' explored Russia’s position in Eurasia since the collapse of the Soviet Union, with a focus on the crisis in Ukraine.

    Neil Melvin presented at the event ‘Security in the Caucasus in light of the recent regional developments in Ukraine’ at the Paris Institute for Advanced Studies (FMSH). He also participated in the official launch of the Caucasus Security and Democracy project (CASCADE) in Paris, leading the work package 'Conflict, Violence and Peacebuilding in the Caucasus'.
