The  European Union Non-Proliferation Consortium (EUNPC) is a network of foreign policy institutions and research centres from across the EU engaged in political and security-related dialogue and discussion of measures to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems.

SIPRI is a partner in the consortium, and we are pleased to announce that two new papers have just been published.

The first, by Thomas Jonter, is entitled 'Creating a Common EU Policy on Nuclear Non-proliferation Education: A Case Study of Sweden'.

The second, by Alicia Mignone, is entitled 'The European Union's Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centres of Excellence Initiative'.

Both papers were launched this week at the EUNPC's second consultative meeting in Brussels. The meeting brought together approximately 100 European Union experts and officials to discuss matters related to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) non-proliferation and small arms and light weapons (SALW) control.
