SIPRI researcher gives testimony before United States Congress

On 26 September SIPRI Senior Researcher Hugh Griffiths testified before the US House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee. Griffiths was invited to testify on maritime trafficking and proliferation in relation to North Korea and Cuba by the House Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere.

Griffiths, who heads SIPRI's Countering Illicit Trafficking - Mechanism Assessment Projects (CIT-MAP), provided an overview of SIPRI's recent analysis and investigations in this area. The testimony was broadcast live via www.foreignaffairs.house.gov.
