Joint SIPRI-SIIS workshop in Shanghai addresses protection of energy interests

SIPRI, in cooperation with the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), convened a two-day workshop in Shanghai to discuss Chinese and European experiences of and approaches to protecting energy interests abroad.

Participants included the current and former presidents of SIIS (Chen Dongxiao and Yang Jiemian), as well as the Norwegian ambassador to Iran and the Swedish and Norwegian consuls-general in Shanghai. SIPRI was represented by Senior Researcher and Head of the China Project Dr Mathieu Duchâtel and researchers Oliver Bräuner and Zhou Hang.
