Yeoun Choi is an intern in the SIPRI Military Expenditure and Arms Production Programme, focusing on topics concerning military spending and arms production, with a specific emphasis on Iran and the Middle East. She is currently pursuing a Master in Social Science Research Methods (Politics) at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
Yeoun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Persian from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea, and completed a certified course from the School of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, Iran. With years of experience as an overseas sales manager at LIG Nex1 Defense in South Korea, she brings critical analytical skills to her research. Yeoun has also contributed to multiple non-profit organizations specializing in Iran and Baltic countries in the US.
