Ville Savoranta is an Associate Senior Researcher with SIPRI's Conflict, Peace and Security area, working on civilian crisis management missions conducted under the Europan Union Common Security and Defense Policy. His previous experience includes serving in the Civilian Operations Headquarters of the European External Action Service and the EULEX Kosovo civilian CSDP Mission, as well as in Crisis Management Centre (CMC) Finland.
Ville’s current research is focused on civilian CSDP as a foreign policy instrument and its strategic guidance by the EU member states. He has also worked on inclusive security, including Women, Peace and Security, and Youth, Peace and Security.
