Sofia is a SIPRI Military Expenditure and Arms Production Programme intern.
She assists the team with data collecting and event organization. Sofia is a Master's student in International Affairs at Berlin's Hertie School of Governance. Sofia worked as an intelligence analyst and watch officer in the Counterterrorism Group before joining SIPRI, and as an intern researcher at the International Team for the Study of Security (ITSS). She is now working on her master's thesis, which compares religious and political terrorism detection and deterrent tactics.
