Jinyung Kim

Jinyung was an intern with SIPRI’s China and Asia Security Programme. She was supporting the programme’s work on EU-China relations in relation to connectivity.

Jinyung completed her Master’s degree in International Studies at Peking University in Beijing, China, where her thesis analyzed the reasons and implications of China’s diplomacy concept of “Responsible Great Power” and its development process and implementation. Previously, she worked as a Young Professional at Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Seoul, Korea and as an Asan Academy’s Young Fellow dispatched to China foundation Center (CFC) in Beijing, China. Additionally, she worked as a short-term translator at Yeosijae Future Consensus Institute, a think-tank in Seoul. Jinyung received a Bachelor’s degree in East Asia Studies from Korean Maritime Ocean University.
