Jamie Withorne

Jamie Withorne was an intern in SIPRI’s Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme. Her research with SIPRI focuses on emerging technology’s impact on the Missile Technology Control Regime, with specific emphasis on the commercial space industry. Outside of SIPRI, Jamie is an MPhil candidate in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Oslo, and an affiliate of the Oslo Nuclear Project. Jamie is also an International Atomic Energy Agency Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow. Prior to moving to Oslo, Jamie worked as a research assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, where she focused on open-source research and nuclear non-proliferation.

Jamie’s research interests include nuclear non-proliferation, technology controls, monitoring and verification, digital data analysis, emerging technologies, and North Korea’s nuclear program.
