Ester Tottie

Ester was a Research Assistant in the SIPRI Peace and Development Programme. Her research interests include peacebuilding and gender dynamics in armed conflict. Prior to joining SIPRI, Ester graduated from Uppsala University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in peace and conflict studies. Both her theses have treated the topic of conflict-related sexual violence. As a part of her master’s studies, Ester also completed an internship at the Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria with a focus on politics and human rights.
