Enzo Caponetti

Enzo Caponetti was an intern in SIPRI’s Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme. Enzo’s current work tackles the illicit firearms trafficking within the EU, the implementation of the 2001 UN Programme of Action on SALW and the 2013 Arms Trade Treaty, in order to contribute to the further development of the SIPRI Mapping ATT-relevant Cooperation and Assistance Activities Database.

During his bachelor studies at the University of Liege, Enzo conducted an internship with the AWEX (Walloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investment) economic and commercial officer at the General Consulate of Belgium in Morocco, and he worked as student-instructor at the University for the course “Doctrines et pratiques politiques”. Prior to joining SIPRI, Enzo participated in the “F4EU initiative”, an international project on the reform of the EU and in “Quel avenir européen pour les moins de 30 ans?”. Additionally, he conducted a traineeship at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (Nuclear Security Unit) in dual-use goods export control research.
