Dr Damir Esenaliev is a Senior Researcher with the Life in Kyrgyzstan project. He joined SIPRI in April 2013, after completing his PhD at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and Humboldt University in Berlin. Damir holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Williams College (USA). His research interests include quantitative microeconomic research related to labour markets, poverty, inequality and intergenerational mobility. Lately he has been involved in impact evaluation studies of peace-building interventions in Kyrgyzstan.
