Channa Törnlund is a Research Assistant in SIPRI’s Major Initiatives team, where she assists with the Business Track of the 2026 Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development. She also worked at SIPRI in spring 2025, as an Events Assistant for the 2025 Stockholm Forum.
Törnlund holds a BSc in Development Studies from Uppsala University and has studied Peace and Conflict Theory at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. She has completed a Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament’s Mediation and Dialogue Support Unit, working on initiatives for youth inclusion in political processes in Serbia, Moldova and Ukraine. Additionally, she has interned at the Folke Bernadotte Academy, contributing to initiatives for gender mainstreaming in the Colombian peace process.
