Minkyeong Kim

Minkyeong Kim is a SIPRI-Korea Foundation intern in the China and Asia Security Programme. Her research focuses on economic security, with a recent interest in EU–Asia cooperation, alongside supporting research on grey-zone activities and regional security dynamics in Asia. Prior to joining SIPRI, she interned at East Asia Institute (EAI) in Seoul, where she gained experience in policy-oriented research on Indo-Pacific security and domestic politics, contributed to international security conferences, and developed digital content to strengthen the institute’s outreach.

She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations and a BS in Economics from Chung-Ang University, graduating summa cum laude. Her dissertation analysed the economic impact of US tariff policy on China, reflecting her focus on the international political economy.
