Gulzhan Asylbek kyzy is a Research Assistant with SIPRI's Life in Kyrgyzstan project, working with impact evaluation of the peace-building programme in Kyrgyzstan. She also conducts research on social cohesion and gender issues in Central Asia. After completing her master's degree in Sweden, Gulzhan first joined SIPRI as an intern. Previously, she worked with different security issues at the US Peace Corps and the EU Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic.
