How to use the library

The Library services are intended primarily for SIPRI researchers, but external users are welcome to use the Library collections on the premises by prior arrangement. We do, however, recommend that you turn first to a major library in your own area before approaching SIPRI.

Loans

All visitors who are 18 years of age, possess a valid identity card and can state an address in Sweden can borrow material directly when visiting the Library. See also the loan rules.

Material from the SIPRI Library can also be borrowed through another library by interlibrary loans. Loan applications from Nordic libraries should be made via LIBRIS. Periodicals and official publications are not lent. Material published during the last three years is primarily intended for SIPRI's own researchers, but may be borrowed if available.
