Lars-Erik Lundin

Dr Lars-Erik Lundin joined SIPRI as a Distinguished Associate Fellow in June 2014. He holds a PhD in political science and international relations and is the author of several peer-reviewed book chapters and reports closely related to the comprehensive approach of the European Union (EU) on external conflicts and crises.



In his diplomatic career he was EU Ambassador to the International organizations in Vienna, and Deputy Political Director of the Commission, and represented the European Commission in in a number of Council and external formations. As a Swedish diplomat, he has extensive experience with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and arms control.
