Tomas joined SIPRI in November 2019. In his position as Communications Editor, he is responsible for the content on SIPRI’s website and output on SIPRI’s dissemination systems, working closely with SIPRI’s international researchers on conflict, armaments, arms control and disarmament. He is passionate about bridging complex context to a variety of different audiences.
Prior to joining SIPRI, Tomas spent the best part of a decade working in strategic communications roles in Brussels. This included working as a media adviser for the Leader of the UK Labour Party in the European Parliament, as well as in media outreach roles for pan-European civil society organisations. In late 2016 he relocated to Stockholm to work for an intergovernmental organization that worked with democracy promotion.
