Edin was Researcher and Projects Coordinator for the Countering Illicit Trafficking - Mechanism Assessment Projects until January 2013. He joined SIPRI in 2009 as a intern after working as an Office Manager for a public inquiry in Scotland. He holds an MA from the University of Glasgow where he specialized in European Union security policy. Edin's research has had a focus on the enforcement of arms embargoes and circumvention techniques. He was also the coordinator for various projects, providing financial, administrative and general project management duties. From February 2013 he is an Associated Research Fellow.
