Stockholm China Alliance

China’s influence is rising in an increasingly interdependent world where today’s global challenges cut across borders and disciplines. Accurate information and expert analysis on China is critical for the interdisciplinary approach needed for sustainable solutions. SIPRI has joined forces with the Stockholm School of Economics and the Stockholm Environment Institute to establish the Stockholm China Alliance.

This alliance unites experts in economics, security and the environment in a cross-cutting initiative to provide a much-needed forum for debate and research. Based in Stockholm, the SCA seeks to contribute innovative, synergistic programmes and policy-oriented recommendations to the ongoing debate in Sweden, Europe and beyond.

Asia Security Group

The Asia Security Group unites Stockholm-based institutes that excel in security research on Asia. SIPRI collaborates with the Swedish Institute for International Affairs (UI), the European Institute of Japanese Studies at the Stockholm School of Economics (EIJS) and the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) to spur the discussion on Asia security issues, to share expertise and resources and to set up joint Visiting Fellowship programmes in order to bring more security experts from the region to Stockholm.
