Sharon Wiharta (Indonesia) is a Senior Researcher with the SIPRI Armed Conflicts and Conflict Management Programme, working on transitional justice and efforts to re-establish the rule of law in post-conflict situations. Prior to joining SIPRI in 2001 she worked at the Center for International Affairs of the University of Washington, Seattle. Her publications include Peace Operations: Trends, Progress and Prospects (Georgetown University Press, 2008, co-editor), The Transition to a Just Order: Establishing Local Ownership after Conflict (Folke Bernadotte Academy, 2007, co-author) and The Effectiveness of Foreign Military Assets in Natural Disaster Response (2007, lead author).
