Activities and current projects
The Export Control Project has contributed to the enhancement of export controls inside and outside the EU through its publications, research, development of tools and concepts, seminars and other awareness-raising and capacity-building activities.
SIPRI has been involved in a variety of programmes and in that context has worked with government officials and regional and international organisations to strengthen capacities to prevent, detect, investigate and prosecute transfers of goods and technologies that undermine non-proliferation efforts. The Export Control Project has facilitated cooperation at the national, regional and international level and seeks to maximize synergies between different export control assistance and cooperation programmes.
