The 2012 Calendar for SIPRI North America
- June:
- June 11: Global Health and Security Event
- June 25: Unleashing the Nuclear Watchdog: Strengthening and Reform of the IAEA. SIPRI North America will partner with the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) to present the latest CIGI report which covers all aspects of the IAEA.
- SIPRI North America launch of the SIPRI Yearbook 2012 - cutting-edge information and analysis on the state of the world's
nuclear forces, the international peacekeeping agenda and steps to
control WMD.
- September:
- September 28: Understanding Conflict and Conflict Management in a Changing Global Order (in New York and Washington, D.C.).
- October: Roundtable on the Wider Central Asia Region: Challenges after 2014.
- November:
- November 1-3: The Missing Peace: Sexual Violence in Conflict and Post Conflict Settings (organized in cooperation with the United States Institute of Peace, USIP, the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Peace Research Institute Oslo, PRIO).

Decline of Armed Conflict: Will It Continue? SIPRI North America hosted a conversation about the causes and future implications of the
recent decline in armed conflict.
- April 18: World
Military Spending: Recent Trends. SIPRI North America is partnering
with the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs to discuss the recent trends
in military expenditures.
- April 17:
SIPRI North America launch of the SIPRI world military expenditure data
- comprehensive information on global, regional and national trends in
military spending.
- March 23: SIPRI North America launch in Washington, D.C. of the SIPRI International Arms Transfers data- details of all international sales, transfers and gifts of major weapons in 2011.
- March 20:
SIPRI North America launch in New York City of the SIPRI International
Arms transfers data - details of all international sales, transfers and
gifts of major weapons in 2011.
- March 8:
In honor of International Women's Day, SIPRI North America co-sponsored a set of presentations on women in peacemaking,
peace and war, and much more.
- 26 February 2012: SIPRI North America launch of the SIPRI Top 100 arms-producing companies - the 100 largest companies in the arms industry.
- 6 February 2012: Official launch of SIPRI North America, with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and former US National Security Adviser Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski.
