EU embargo on Eritrea and Ethiopia
In reaction to the war between Ethiopia and Eritrea the Council of the European Union adopted on 15 March 1999 Common
Position 1999/206/CFSP imposing an arms embargo on Ethiopia and Eritrea. The embargo expired on 31 May 2001 (2001/215/CFSP).
