 Mikael Weissmann was a research assistant in the 'Internet based Early Warning Indicators for Preventive Policy' project from January to July 2003. He is now the Program Coordinator for the Program for Contemporary Silk Road Studies at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University where he researches on conflict management, security issues, and negotiation in Northeast- and Central Asia.

He holds a M.Soc.Sci. in Peace and Conflict Research from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a B.A. in International Relations and Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.
