Country and Political Risk assessment (ver 1.00)
There are at present a number of commercial providers of political, financial, and country risk assessments and/or ratings. However there is little known about the methodologies and models they use. Neither is there much knowledge about their indicators. The reason presumably is to protect their commercial interests.
This database contains the published and publicly available information about the different indicators used by country and political risk services. It has mainly been developed for internal use, and the database presented here is only slightly altered for public presentation. As a result, parts of it might be considered unclear and/or in need of further development. However, for the time being SIPRI has chosen to present it in it’s current form rather than not publishing it.
