Strengthening the G8 Global Partnership Against Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction

The Washington based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), in partnership with a network of research institutions from around the world, has carried out an assessment of threat reduction efforts in countries of the former Soviet Union from the perspectives of both the donors and recipients.

The project has also developed an action agenda for the future, which was published on 20 January 2003.

For more information on this project, please visit the CSIS Project Website.

As a contribution to this project SIPRI has produced a case study of Swedish contributions to cooperative threat reduction: Protecting Against the spread of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Weapons: Sweden (PDF format document size 296k).
