Research Internship CIT-MAP
Candidates should have knowledge and experience of:
1) conducting internet and library research
2) an interest in conflict or post-conflict studies, humanitarian aid delivery or international relations, preferably with a focus on destabilizing commodity flows such as weapons, narcotics or valuable minerals
3) working with MS Office / Open Office packages particularly Access/OObase.
Interns will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a developing project, focusing on aspects of humanitarian aid delivery, peace-keeping and open source intelligence (OSI) tools, with the opportunity to provide your own input and ideas.
SIPRI does not have a formal programme for interns or special funding for this purpose. SIPRI can therefore not pay for housing, travel or any other expenses and does not pay interns a salary. Applicants should indicate in their applications that they can provide their own funding to cover all their costs in Sweden. Potential candidates are invited to email their CV to Michael Jenks, jenks@sipri.org, and Hugh Griffiths, griffiths@sipri.org.
