Michael Jenks is Data Manager with the SIPRI Countering Illicit Trafficking–Mechanism Assessment Projects (CIT-MAP). He originally joined SIPRI as an intern in March 2010. He studied Administrative Law and Public Administration from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Development Studies at Uppsala University, Sweden. His current research focuses on methods used to transport illicit small arms and light weapons (SALW) and other destabilizing commodities.
